1. DESCRIPTION

Rwanda TVET Board (RTB) in collaboration with Rwanda Polytechnic (RP)/Rwanda TVET Trainer Institute (RTTI) is organizing a Training of Trainers on the 2nd cohort of the Senior TVET Trainer Certificate Program from May 2024 (weekend: May 2024 to August 2024, full-time: August to September 2024). The training will be held at the RTTI building in Kicukiro District. The objective of the training of trainers will be to equip trainers with a comprehensive understanding of the practical session facilitation; enhance the capacities of participants to be able to assist learners with career guidance; and equip participants with the necessary methodological approach to develop the Competency-Based Curriculum.

2. OBJECTIVE 

To provide high-quality and relevant TVET through competent TVET trainers in CBT/CBA.

3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Up to 60 participants will be selected for the training course ( two from each district). The selection will ensure gender balance and equitable numbers of participants in all districts. Participants who worked for TVET schools offering Levels 3 to 5 are highly encouraged to apply.

4. REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have: 

At least 2 years of experience working in TVET School; 

A TVET Trainer certificate; 

Being employed as a Deputy School Manager in charge of Studies in one of the Technical Secondary Schools; 

A recommendation letter from the Headteacher; 

Good communication in English; 

A national identity card (ID) or Passport;

Preferably with a Digital Skills Passport Certificate.

5. HOW TO APPLY

(1) Proof of at least 2 years of teaching experience in TVET schools [filename: FamilyName_Teaching Experience] (example: Harerilima_Teaching Experience); 

(2) A copy of the TVET Trainer certificate [filename: FamilyName_TT Certificate] (example: Harerilima_TT Certificate);

(3) A copy of qualification [filename: FamilyName_Qualification] (example: Harerilima_Batchelor’s degree in Electricity);

(4) A recommendation letter given by the school manager of his/her teaching school [filename: FamilyName_Recommendation] (example: Harerilima_Recommendation); and 

(5) Copy of ID/Passport [filename: FamilyName_ID] (example: Harerilima_ID). 

Please note that: 

(1) NOT FOLLOWING the naming of documents can prevent you to be shortlisted. 

(2) Shortlisted candidates will be informed the time to pass the Knowledge Test on TVET Trainer Certificate Curriculum which will take place in RTTI-Kigali.

II. This form has six (6) sections: (1) Personal Information (2) Education Background (3) Working Experience (4) Current School (Employer) Information (5) Training and Certificate, and (6) Motivation.
